Dry Needling
I am trained and experienced in dry needling. This technique treats muscle and myofascial pain and improves movement dysfunction. Thin filiform needles are inserted into trigger points to reduce tension, improve blood flow, and normalize neuromuscular activity — often relieving pain and improving range of motion.
It can be done with or without electrical stimulation.
Is dry needling safe?
Yes, dry needling is generally safe when performed by trained physical therapists. Minor side effects like soreness or bruising may occur, but serious complications are rare. I use it as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to relieve muscle pain, improve mobility, and support your rehabilitation goals.
Dry needling can be done as a stand-alone treatment in certain cases, and only following an initial evaluation. These sessions are 30 minutes.
